MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

BROLIS manufactures and offers products for the defence and security applications, including state-of-the-art laser aiming pointers and illuminators, SWIR and thermal sights, surveillance systems, night vision equipment, filters and related optoelectronic devices, also heavily used in Ukraine.
Our engineering team is expanding, and we are looking for a professional MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER who, together with our highly qualified hardware team, would develop, test, and deploy ideas into our next generation electro-optical systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesDetailed mechanical design work in 3D format, and documentation preparation in 2D format,
Design compliance to provided specification or use case scenario, industry standards,
Selection of mechanical parts considering obsolescence, availability, and cost,
Selection of the manufacturing method based on the application and required costs,
Assembly of prototype series and supervision of the design approval,
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to complete projects on time and to ensure that products are designed for efficient manufacturing,
Preparation of technical reports and documents, maintenance of accurate records,
Work in a team to provide a full design solution.

What we expectBachelor‘s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field,
Experience in production, manufacturing, and testing of opto-mechanical systems,
Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor or Fusion 360,
Strong technical skills and attention to detail,
Good communication and collaboration skills,
Knowledge of existing manufacturing techniques,
Proactive attitude and sense of commitment,
Clean records. The selected candidate will have to obtain permission to work with classified information and will be required to submit a medical certificate form 049a (a medical examination certificate same as the one necessary for a permit to acquire a weapon).
